Force Sensors

With our miniature force sensors, measuring ranges up to at least 2000N can be realized. For larger forces, the deformation of suitable measuring bodies is monitored with our displacement transducers and the force is derived therefrom. With complex substrate bodies, force sensors with up to 6 degrees of freedom can be realized. Our force sensors can also be equipped as standard with integrated, programmable instrumentation amplifier.

Force Sensors From Our Standard Range

Our standard sensors are suitable for many common applications and lend themselves particularly well for applications with small quantities. We are happy to assist you in the selection and integration of a suitable sensor. The sensors are available in several variants and some of them can be additionally adapted to customer requirements, e.g. with milled grooves or by adjusting the amplifier gain.

Force Sensor KB-011-0300 "Gantrisch"

The force sensor bracket is available for different measuring ranges and can be mounted on a base with an M2 screw. Voltage regulation and signal amplification are integrated so that the sensor can be flexibly supplied with 12V or 24V and provides an output signal between 0 and 10 Volts.

The simple and inexpensive KB-011-1600 sensor measures only 9×14 mm. It is mounted with a screw and a dowel pin. Thanks to the mounting holes on the bracket, different types of force application are possible. Test samples of this sensor are available.

Flat Diaphragm Force Sensor KZ-011-1300

This sensor has a planar design, but behaves mechanically similar to a diaphragm body and is suitable for loads up to 300 N. In the version with housing, the force is applied via an M3 thread.

Miniature Force Sensors

Very compact dimensions can be achieved with thin-film strain gauges. Bending zones from 1 mm width are possible. A complete sensor element can be a few millimetres in size; usually the space required for soldering points is the limiting factor.

Force Sensors With Amplifier

In many cases the sensor signal must be transmitted over several meters. To minimize interference, an instrumentation amplifier can be placed directly on the sensor. Thus the output signal has an amplitude of several volts and can be fed into a 0-10V input, for example.
